Chromite

Chromite powder has good friction increasing effect at low temperature and high temperature, and can also play the role of cleaning the dual. It can play a good role in increasing friction at 100-250 ℃. The content of cr203 in chromite powder commonly used in friction materials is 25% - 45%. The higher the content of cr203, the greater the friction effect. The dosage and particle size should be controlled during use. The appropriate dosage should not exceed 7%, and the particle size and fineness should be more than 325 meshes. Too much dosage and too coarse particle size can improve friction coefficient, but it will also lead to obvious increase of friction loss and noise.

Also known as refined iron ore, it is processed by water washing and flotation. It is the raw material for manufacturing iron oxide black. When used as filler for friction materials, it can replace chromite to provide friction coefficient, and its wear resistance is less than chromite.
